Range Autonomy SDK

The Range Autonomy SDK equips uncrewed systems with a lightweight, modular, hardware-agnostic autonomy layer built for GPS- and comms-denied environments. Built on ExynAI’s field-proven SLAM and Level 4B autonomy, Range enables tactical platforms to perceive, reason, and maneuver without operator control or external infrastructure.

Level 4B Autonomy

GPS-Denied Doesn't Mean Defeated

Range Autonomy compiles and executes on the edge, completely onboard the robotic platform with no need for outside comms or GPS. Lightweight compute that can intelligently react to a novel, dynamic, and dangerous environment. Range collects and stores all data during the mission, to be processed and analyzed once back in range.

How Do You Define Autonomy Levels?

RANGE - Levels of Aerial Autonomy Graphic - REVERSE No Header

Based on the SAE Levels of Driving Automation.

Autonomy is the ability to operate independently.
Making decisions, adapting to change, and executing tasks without external control.

At Range, we build autonomy for robots, not as a convenience, but as a high powered tool for modern operations. Our mission is to develop software that enables uncrewed systems to navigate complex, high-risk environments, execute multiple objectives, and safely recover mission critical data -- all without human intervention. This is autonomy built for real-world conditions, where GPS may fail, comms may drop, and yet every decision still counts.

Autonomy Built For Challenging Environments

Designed to perform in the most demanding conditions:
Robust Localization: Reliable and accurate localization performance across challenging environments, including GPS-rich, GPS-denied, high-speed, and complex 3D settings.
Precision Mapping: Generate survey-grade 3D maps in real-time, even in GPS-denied or signal-limited environments.
Proven Field-Tested Autonomy: Validated across hundreds of deployments and tens of thousands of flights, with demonstrated resilience and reliability in diverse and challenging conditions, including dusty environments and obstacle-rich terrains.

Intelligent Health Monitoring

Resilient To The Last Line Of Code
Range autonomy includes intelligent health monitoring that continuously evaluates system status, including battery levels, sensor performance and data quality.
If degraded conditions are detected, Range Autonomy can adapt in real time -- initiating actions like battery-aware return-to-home to ensure mission safety and asset recovery, even without operator input.

Autonomy Built For The Fight

Whether upgrading for underground recon, enabling a robot to follow a squad autonomously, or extending ISR capability on tactical drones, Range is the autonomy engine for edge operations.
